Necessary Documents
Having these in the beginning will keep things moving along. I don't want to pause our progress because I'm missing something. I need to provide dealers with some of these copies to secure a car, contract, print paperwork, and provide the DMV.
Driver's License
Need a current copy of everyone's driver license involved in the deal. This also means a trade-in.
Payoff Information
Please provide the lender you are financing or leasing through, and the account number. I will contact them to obtain correct payoff info on your trade-in. This is to ensure we payoff your trade-in and avoid late fees.
Copy of Insurance
It is Colorado law that every driver be insured. I need a current copy of an insurance card with the buyer listed on the card. When it's time to close, I will need a copy of an insurance card with the new car listed.
Address
Please provide the address you wish to register the car to. Some of my clients of multiple CO addresses opt to register at a lower tax residents.
Trade-In
If you are trading in your car(s), I will need a copy of the registration and/or title. I have to confirm all parties listed are okay with trading in.
